I feel bad for the Marriott

The Marriott hotel had a sports bar, Champions, that was basically the only place to get food during a certain part of the day. The prices were typical hotel prices and the menu clearly had the prices listed. So, if you ordered, you knew what you were getting into. During the reunion, a certain group of Nigerians decided to go to Champions to order food. Instead of them to cut their cloth (eat their food) according to their wallet, one of them decided to be a big baller and pay for everybody. They took a seat, asked for a menu, and then Mr. Baller said he would pay for the meal up to a certain limit (a few hundred dollars).

So, this group of people sat down to eat, enjoying their food and when everybody was done, the bill was a few dollars over Mr. Baller's limit. Mr. Baller paid his part, and the rest (maybe $20?) was supposed to be covered by the remaining people at the table. Mr. Baller left with a few people while the rest stayed behind.

While the remaining people sat there, another set of people joined them. Mind you, the bill at the time was only about $20. But, this 2nd group of people joined the table and then they all ordered a couple of hundred dollars more worth of food. Remember, Mr. Baller had already paid his part and left. Apparently, the newcomers to the table were under the assumption that Mr. Baller was paying for everybody and anybody who sat at the table.

So when the bill came, yawa!, everybody started looking for Mr. Baller. The hotel staff were basically preventing anybody from leaving the bar. Of course you know white people they don't play. They probably thought this was some sort of 419 thing that Nigerians were trying to pull on them and they even went to find Mr. Baller to dragged him back to the bar. Can you imagine, the rest of us walking past the lobby and hearing this big commotion with Nigerians arguing back and forth. They had to call security, the manager had to come and sort everything out. So stupid. I guess everybody had to split the bill in the end. If you know who these people are, it would be very helpful. Were you loitering around in the lobby area on Sunday afternoon and did you hear a commotion? Lol.

I don't understand Nigerian guys. You came to the reunion to MOOCH off of another person? How do you expect to get any action when you can't even feed yourself?

You know the hotel will probably NEVER allow Nigerians there again.
